All newsSynergy in practice: Rockaway headquarters taking up the area of 3600 m2
Investment group Rockaway has finally moved its projects into a new place in the Office park Kavčí Hory and developed there a unique hub of talented people and promising projects, quite special for the Czech Republic.
“We wanted to create facilities reflecting our own strategy – on one hand, we work as an investor and we support new innovative start-ups, and at the same time, we also build up our own internal projects. The best people from these two spheres then meet up on the new premises, ” says Jan Jírovec, Investment Partner of Rockaway. Apart from the new offices, Rockaway has also built storage space of 7 500 m2 for E-commerce Holding in Rudná u Prahy.
New facilities are being used by Rockaway´s projects such as E-commerce Holding covering 16 e-shops with more than 2.5 million users. Also Chytry Honza, the leader among online financial portals, resides here. Right next to them you can meet Silicon Jelly – the creator of mobile games with Little Mole. In adjacent wing you can find start-ups whose plan is to change the world – Bileto, Brand Embassy, etc.
Rockaway´s projects take advantage of shared headquarters not just by sharing the know-how of the group, but also by the presence of the Value Creation Team. A group of experts led by Sean Gaddis work with the whole portfolio of Rockaway on daily basis. They help start-ups with the validation of business model, product strategy, as well as with entering foreign markets. For traditional projects they bring innovations and help them to think “out of the box”.
New offices of Rockaway group occupy the premises of 3600 m2. Apart from dozens of meeting rooms and hundreds of jobs, they have unique design features or private cinema with professional screening equipment. However, the key factor is the human dimension – the most talented people (not only) from Czech Internet environment meet up in this place. Besides Prague offices, Rockaway also has its branch in San Francisco or in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
Investment group Rockaway led by Jakub Havrlant concluded about 20 investments and launched five projects on their own last year. This year, they are going to launch Kolonial, strengthen the position of E-commerce Holding, launch their own fin-tech product and continue in searching for and supporting promising start-ups with global goals.
