Position Summary:
The Venture Investor will play a crucial role in RV’s strategic growth, focusing on sourcing investment opportunities, engaging with the investor community, and contributing to our overall positioning and narrative. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with experience in venture capital, strong networking capabilities, and the drive to support fundraising and relationship-building initiatives. This role involves spearheading RV’s visibility in the market and building robust relationships within the tech and investment ecosystem.

Your day in the office (and outside):
Source and Scout
Identify visionary founders spearheading transformation in sectors like retail and e-commerce, travel and hospitality, digital logistics, digital media, cybersecurity, CleanTech, PropTech, and more. Leverage online platforms and attend premier industry conferences to uncover opportunities. Perform detailed market mapping and research to spotlight hidden gems and emerging leaders in these industries.
Evaluate Opportunities
Meet with founding teams to conduct initial screenings, focusing on gaining a comprehensive understanding of their products, business models, and vision, with particular emphasis on the founders’ personalities and leadership qualities. Collaborate with the Investment team to share insights and provide informed recommendations.
Market and Startup Research
Dive into industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape within the sectors we target. Present detailed research and actionable insights to the Investment team to guide data-driven decisions.
Engage in the Investment Lifecycle
Participate in every stage of the investment process: from reviewing pitch decks and meeting founders to conducting in-depth due diligence and closing deals. Gain exposure to post-investment activities, including board meetings, follow-on funding rounds, and successful exits.
Team and Portfolio Support
Support the management of our funds and growing portfolio across diverse sectors. Assist with key activities such as fundraising, reporting, marketing, and portfolio operations while gaining hands-on experience in the dynamic world of venture capital.
Qualifications:
- technical degree with experience in business; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
- proven track record as a top performer in venture capital or private equity, tech industry, consulting, or as a startup founder
- entrepreneurial mindset with a deep understanding of the startup ecosystem and the challenges founders face
- strong knowledge of the European tech startup ecosystem. Established network of contacts in the industry is valued, but not a must
- exceptional analytical, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft and convey a compelling investment narrative
- demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage key external relationships with founders, investors, and stakeholders
- willingness to travel to expand and strengthen our network
- excellent proficiency in English
