In recent months, several key events have taken place in the Rockaway Capital portfolio, making the selection of a topic for the next EduLunch – a traditional afternoon meeting that gives Rockaway team the opportunity to learn about the latest developments within the group – pleasantly challenging. This time, the choice fell on the new investment holding RockawayQ, which was created in collaboration with the MTX Group of Petr Otava, and was announced in early June.
The speakers were Rockaway Capital’s investment partner Dušan Zábrodský and Max Palko, the investment manager of Rockaway Ventures and now also of RockawayQ. At the outset, Dušan explained the vision that led to the creation of RockawayQ: “The demand for digital solutions based on artificial intelligence has increased significantly over the past year, and it’s no surprise. AI presents a huge opportunity not only for emerging startups but also for traditional established companies that want to take their business to the next level. And here lies the space for RockawayQ. Our goal is to support traditional companies so they can grow and remain market-competitive during times of revolutionary technological changes.”
Max then presented specific strategies that RockawayQ uses to support companies. “RockawayQ is unique in that it acts as a partner offering a complete package of services. We invest in companies with loyal customer bases and proprietary data, and thanks to our expertise in digital and AI transformation, we can significantly enhance the value of their offerings.”
Finally, both representatives of RockawayQ emphasized the importance of correct timing. “The availability of AI technologies has reached a level that allows their use by a broader spectrum of companies. Now is the right time to act,” said Zábrodský. “With our extensive experience in company building and digital transformation, we are the ideal partner for companies looking to leverage this advanced technology,” added Palko.
