This year, Rockaway is going to launch E-commerce Holding´s new online project – selling groceries. As announced earlier, it will be managed by Petr Vyhnálek. Today we would like to announce the name of this online store – Kolonial.cz.
“Kolonial (general store) used to be a traditional service based on personal approach and knowing your customer´s needs – these are values on which our project shall be based, and that is why we have decided for the name Kolonial.cz,” explains Petr Vyhnálek, who came to E-commerce Holding after a long career in Globus to lead the new project of selling groceries online.
It is the combination of having experience in retail and know-how of Internet business that fulfills the strategy of this new project: “If you want to succeed in online grocery sales, you need to master both aspects perfectly. One cannot work properly without the other, ” says Jan Jírovec, CEO of E-commerce Holding and also COO of Rockaway.
E-commerce Holding represents a network of specialized online stores co-owned by Jakub Havrlant´s Rockaway group and Daniel Křetínský´s and Patrik Tkáč´s Czech Media Invest. Current portfolio of E-commerce Holding includes Sporty.cz and Snowboards.cz – online sports stores; proděti.cz – online store offering goods for children; fashion shopping clubs Bigbrands.cz and ModníGuru.cz; and also Vivantis – online stores focused on lifestyle (Parfémy.cz, Krása.cz, Zdraví.cz and others).
