A new player is entering domestic e-commerce business. Rockaway, Jakub Havrlant´s Group, has announced the launch of E-commerce Holding which will run specialized e-shops.
Rockaway group plans to enter the field of online shopping with its new project: “We see a great potential in the field of e-commerce, because besides big shopping malls there are no specialists in the branch of fashion, sport or home, for which there is still some room,” Jan Jírovec says. The aim of E-commerce Holding is to become, within two years, the front player on domestic market, the turnover of which is about 59 billion CZK, and it is growing every year. After being stabilized on the Czech market, the expansion on European market should follow.
Currently, there are e-shops with sports equipment such as Sporty.cz and Snowboards.cz under E-commerce Holding. “In August we are going to publish more of our verticals of goods which fulfill the criteria of specialization and absence of a strong player on the market,” Jan Jírovec says.
Internet shops of E-commerce portfolio will use shared key activities such as information system, marketing, logistics and customer care which shall work as a competitive advantage and guarantee higher efficiency than is typical of standard management.
E-commerce Holding is one of the key activities of Rockaway Group. Its head is Jan Jírovec who is also the COO of Rockaway. In the past, Jan Jírovec worked as the head of Allegro group CZ which has e.g. Aukro or Heureka in its portfolio.
